Times Flies When You're Having Fun...

Boy oh boy, I must be having more fun than a barrel o’ monkeys, because I cannot believe how fast these past 6 weeks have flown by.

Opening a brick & mortar business entails a lot more than I expected. Deposits, inspections, and all the little details you never considered; it has been a learning experience, but I mean that in a good way.

I LOVE coming to the Studio, because I get to do what I love: sniff oils all day long and teach others about them and how to use them!

Deciding on business hours was one of the things I had to decide. I knew I did not want to go back to a 40-hour work week, even if it was for myself. I knew I needed to create a good home/work balance, so I worked out a schedule that never has me gone more than 4 hours a day, with some early openings and some late closings to be more accommodating, and some Saturday hours, too.

I also decided to host 2 classes each week, one in the early afternoon on Wednesday, and the same class again in the early evening on Thursday. The classes are the same subject each day, but change every week. That seems to be working out well so far. Classes I have held so far include: oils basics, eliminating toxins, back to school, prep for the zombie apocalypse, carrier oils, and this week is budget friendly oils under $30.

Upcoming class topics include: sleep, antioxidants and essential oils, CBD and essential oils, chakras, oily pro tips, skin care, and ancient oils of the Bible.

Aside from sniffing oils and attending classes, I have several different make & take projects available at any time. Room spray, inhalers, sugar scrub, dishwasher powder, perfume rollers, etc.
